Dr Safiya is a consultant psychiatrist at Mind & Brain Clinic. She is a recipient of the B.C Roy Young Achiever Award 2014 and “Best Psychiatrist in Bangalore, 2017” award from the India’s Most Prominent Healthcare Awards program. She has MBBS & Post Graduate (Psychological Medicine) degrees from FMMC Mangalore. She also has a Master’s degree in Counseling & Psychotherapy from Kuvempu University. She is the founder of Mind & Brain interventional, educational & vocational training program for children with developmental & behavioral issues.
Presently, she is the Director of Mind & Brain Health Care Pvt Ltd. She is also a Fellow of the Indian Psychiatric Society (FIPS).
